Have you heard about 3D surveying and would you now like to find out more about this most innovative of all measuring techniques?
Or do you already have a laser scanner but would like to improve your workflow?
We can help you. Whether through telephone support, consulting by the hour or assistance with handling a complete project.
The advantages of 3D as-built surveys by laser scanning are still not widely known, even among professionals. In recent years, technical innovations in hardware and software have further optimised the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of the method.
3D scanning has now become competitively priced compared with a conventional 2D survey – with far more possibilities.
How we can support you:
1
Introduction
theoretical principles of scanner technology
handling the FARO Focus3d device
observing occupational safety aspects
restrictions and limits of 3D measuring technology
2
Practice
All device settings for the best results depending on the task
successful positioning of targets
scanning without targets
optimum planning of scanner positions to minimise measurement shadows
3
Analysis
Data processing and registration with FARO Scene
2D orthophotos from scan data with Pointcab software
J. Rechenbach lectured on the theory and practice of laser scanning: over the course of two days, participants were introduced to the exciting world of 3D surveying. A work report presenting completed scan projects demonstrated the advantages of this method. A live scan of a listed building on site and the subsequent data analysis gave all participating students and teachers of the vocational college a sound grounding in the fundamentals.
Follow-up events are being planned. If you are interested, please contact us.
