Lecture at Dresden University
We were happy to accept the invitation of the Process Engineering Department at Dresden University and presented the advantages of 3D laser scanning for as-built documentation in a guest lecture.
The university’s website reads:
‘To give students an insight into professional life after their studies, an exciting guest lecture took place on 29 January 2025 as part of the Plant Design lecture course. Mr Johannes Rechenbach, Managing Director of Laser Scanning Architecture, presented impressive projects from the field of laser measurement technology. With this technology, existing plants or buildings can be scanned at different levels of detail and then represented digitally. Such as-built surveys make it possible, for example, to record the flange sizes and positions of vessels precisely and thus to plan pipework more efficiently. Particularly in the case of older plants, whose documentation is often incomplete, this method offers great potential for considerably reducing planning time for construction measures.’
