Laser Scanning in the Architektenblatt

The September 2020 issue of the Deutsches Architektenblatt features a worthwhile article on BIM planning and CAD upgrades. The specialist journalist Marian Behaneck writes: ‘For BIM-compliant capture of existing building stock, 3D laser scanning in particular has become established alongside tacheometry and photogrammetry, as it enables fast, area-based capture of objects.’ After further explanation, he then sets out which CAD systems are well suited to processing point clouds.
