These clash models are used to fit new plant components perfectly into existing structures. Factory halls and production buildings in particular often contain complex installations and geometries that can only be documented inadequately with a manual survey.
In the 3D survey from the laser scanner, however, all visible components and structures at a distance of approx. 0.5-40 m are captured with pinpoint accuracy and documented without error. Greater distances of up to 130 m are possible and can be captured using high-resolution partial scans.
